This poster was inspired by The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, and its continued status on the banned books list since 2014. The book's theme of freedom and oppression was seen as controversial. Just as the character in the book must fight in the hunger games to survive, so does the book on the shelves of libraries across the country. Banned books week celebrates our freedom to read and express and this poster is a celebration of just of many books' fight for freedom.
