The type figure was a challenge to create an entire animal out of the letters using only one phrase, and not manipulating any characters. No matter the species of octopus, they are known for their tentacles and the suckers that line each of them. To create this feature, choosing an expressive typeface was key to bringing the design to life. Other anatomical additions included the siphon hole from which they use to breathe and their large, curious eyes. The phrase used to build the octopus was inspired by how polluted the oceans are how it is essential to keep our oceans clean if humans hope to keep utilizing its resources.
