Old man and the sea
This piece is mixed media and combines 2D elements such as paint with more 3D collage. The figure is painted with acrylic and the background is a collage of real global currency and stamps, both modern and vintage, that have been distressed and mod podge. Then the entire thing was then glazed with acrylic ink.

Artist Statement
I am an 18 year old artist who has been painting her whole life. Painting is my passion but I work with many mediums, including drawing and collage. I hope to inspire people to appreciate the beauty of the world and tell their stories through their own creative outlet.
