Ruthie is an art doll created primarily with clay, wire, fabrics, and spackling. I was inspired by intricately decorated cakes that I saw online. It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to create the cake, so that it could look like it was really frosted. I finally settled on using a light weight spackling dyed with acrylic paint.
