I created this piece with George Floyd as the focal point to embody the BLM movement at the time. I used fire to represent the built up heat and anger along with the riots that came as a result. I added newspaper on the bottom to display the currency of the event, and across it I wrote “JUSTICE” in bold letters to include the purpose of the movement. Throughout the piece I used many bright colors to add life and energy with the hope to make you feel something when you look at it.
