This is the original gelatin silver print of my piece, "Teacher's Hand". I began piano lessons at five years old. My teacher used to tell me to imagine a glass ball under my hand to as a reminder to keep my fingers curved. This photograph was made for a project (still in the works) exploring my early childhood memories. Now, almost 20 years later, I was able to pay her a visit and photograph her hand with a glass ball under it on the very piano I learned to play on. A photograph that is truly near to my heart.
